Those of you who have outstanding I-Share requests as of Tuesday 23 December 2014 might be wondering what happens when JKM is closed for the Christmas and new year's break. Not to worry: most of the 86 I-Share libraries are closed for the holidays, and your request(s) should remain in a "in process" or "in transit" status until after JKM re-opens on Monday 5 January 2015. The ILDS courier will not be visiting JKM during the break so no materials will be delivered.

Records for the 1,429 titles in the Oxford Scholarship Online—Religion e-book collection were added to the catalog this week. Unlike CARLI e-books, titles in the OSO collection do not require downloading Adobe Digital Edition before being able to access them. To access these titles when off-campus, you'll need to input the same username/password you use to access the databases when off-campus. Questions? problems? write us at

Ever since JKM migrated to WorldCat Discovery this past spring, off-campus users have been unable to place interlibrary loan requests; happily, this problem is now solved (fyi: users accessing WorldCat Discovery while on campus do not have this problem).

Effective Saturday 6 September 2014, the JKM wireless networks (JKM-2N, JKM-2S,  JKM-2C, and JKM-3E) will be password-protected to ensure greater security. Stop by the circulation desk on your way in and ask for the password.

Effective Tuesday 2 September 2014, we're changing the off-campus username that you use to access the digital resources to which JKM provides access. Your username will become your, or email address; your password remains your i.d. number. If you experience problems accessing the databases after Tuesday, write us at, using your McCormick or LSTC email address.
